Post-Mission Planner ("Post-Mission Planner," "we," "us," or "our") provides a personal calendar,
goals, habits, and relationship-tracking app for returned missionaries. This Privacy Policy explains
what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. It
applies to our mobile app and this website (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do
not agree with this policy, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect the information needed to authenticate you, such as your name, email address, and sign-in identifiers. If you sign in through a third-party provider (for example, Google), that provider shares limited profile information with us as part of the sign-in process.
- Content you provide. Calendar events, goals, habits, categories, personal notes, contacts, and interaction history that you choose to enter into the app. This content is yours — we treat it as private planning data, not public or shareable content.
- Device and usage information. Basic technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and crash or error logs, which help us diagnose problems and keep the app working reliably.
- Support communications. If you email us for support, we keep a record of that correspondence, including your email address and the content of your message, so we can respond and track resolution.
We do not collect sensitive categories of data (such as precise geolocation, biometric data, or payment card numbers) unless you voluntarily include them in your own notes, which we store the same as any other content you provide.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including syncing your data across your devices;
- Authenticate your account and protect it against unauthorized access;
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about the Service;
- Diagnose technical problems, fix bugs, and improve reliability and performance;
- Enforce our terms and protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
We do not use your private planning content — your events, goals, habits, notes, or contacts — to
build advertising profiles, and we do not sell that content or use it to serve ads.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you've signed up for, such as account creation and data sync;
- Legitimate interests — to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the Service, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Consent — where you have given it, such as opting in to optional communications;
- Legal obligation — where processing is required to comply with the law.
4. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run an advertising network or expose public profiles. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use infrastructure and service providers (such as cloud hosting and authentication providers) to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If Post-Mission Planner is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal data.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account remains active, so that your
calendar, goals, habits, and contacts remain available to you across devices. If you delete your
account, we delete your personal data and content, except where a limited copy may persist
temporarily in encrypted backups or logs, which are purged on a routine cycle, or where retention
is required to comply with a legal obligation or resolve a dispute.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your
information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls limiting who can reach
production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee
absolute security. Please use care when entering especially sensitive information into notes, and
contact us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.
7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
You can access, update, or delete most of your information directly within the app. Depending on where you live, you may also have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions;
- Portability — request your data in a portable format;
- Restriction or objection — ask us to limit how we process your data, or object to certain processing;
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, delete your account directly in the app through
Settings → Account → Delete Account, or email us at
help@postmissionplanner.com. We will respond within
the timeframe required by applicable law.
8. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the
California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the right to know what personal information we
collect, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of
personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under
California law. You may submit a request to know or delete by emailing us at
help@postmissionplanner.com. We will not
discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside of your country of
residence, including in the United States, wherever our service providers operate infrastructure.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect
personal data transferred internationally.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It may set minimal, strictly necessary
technical data (such as basic server logs) needed to operate and secure the site. The Post-Mission
Planner app does not use third-party advertising trackers.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may link to third-party sites or services we do not control, such as app store listings
or sign-in providers. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you
to review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.
12. Children's Privacy
Post-Mission Planner is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a
child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. If you
believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as Post-Mission Planner evolves. We will revise the "Last updated"
date above and, where changes are material, provide additional notice such as an in-app message
before the changes take effect. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
14. Contact Us
If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data,
please email us at help@postmissionplanner.com. We
aim to respond to all privacy inquiries promptly.
